The Flunk Cancer Foundation was created in honor of Shannon McHone, a Wilmington teacher and graduate of UNCW, who died from brain cancer in April 2019.

Flunk Cancer provides assistance and support to teachers with cancer, and helps guide them through the difficult avenues of diagnosis, treatment, and care.
